    The talk will discuss all forms of remote sensing used for archaeological discovery including metal detection, Lidar, air and satellite photography, geophysics, ground penetrating radar and multi spectral analysis. It will look at the merits and pitfalls of each technique and their appropriateness of use in different circumstances. Richard will even cover dowsing.

  • 50s+ Club – The Bee Garden and the benefits of volunteering

    Join Bee Garden volunteer Eileen who will be talking about how, when, and why the Bee Garden at the Community Centre was established, what they plant, what type of pollinators and insects the plants attract. She will also talk about the volunteers who maintain the garden and the benefits of volunteering.

    12pm – light lunch included. As this is the first meeting of the new 50s+ Club there will be no charge (donations welcome) but booking is essential
