A community centre is nothing without the support of its community!

We know times are hard and like many others, we often need help from wonderful volunteers to help deliver our wide program of activities and events.

Current volunteer opportunities are always changing so if there is a role you would specifically like to try, please contact us or call us on 016977 45023

The most common opportunities at Brampton Community Centre include:

  • Helping to organise community events
  • Gardening
  • Door-to-door distribution of materials
  • Painting and decorating
  • Becoming a Trustee of Brampton Community Trust.

Similarly, if you are a member of a community group who would be interested in doing a volunteer placement or project at the community centre, we would love to hear from you.

There is no commitment for these roles. You can do as much or as little as you like.

Monday Lunch Club Volunteer

Join our friendly Lunch Club volunteer team and help bring joy, connection, and good food to older members of our community. You'll work alongside Jenny, our Food Project Lead, to prepare, plate, and serve a delicious two-course meal to guests aged 65 and over. Full training and support provided.

This is a lovely, social role where you’ll be part of something meaningful, offering not just food, but companionship and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The role involves:

  • Serving meals to guests in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Assisting with setting up and tidying tables before and after lunch
  • Chatting with attendees and help make them feel comfortable and included
  • Helping with clearing and washing-up

Skills you'll need:

  • Friendly, approachable, and happy to get stuck in
  • Reliable and punctual, with good communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team and around older adults

Volunteering with the Lunch Club is enjoyable and rewarding and the amount of time you can volunteer is extremely flexible. Any time that you could give, whether that be a couple of hours a week or just once a month would be greatly appreciated.
